Addressing Performance Issues
This program is for managers and supervisors. The emphasis is on confronting and coaching people with poor performance. We give the manager skills to work with in order to help people through life issues. In addition, we build a step-by-step process for managers to work with their human resource department, EAC, and the employee to achieve success in whatever issue they may be experiencing.
Dealing with Difficult People
Recognizing the differences of each other at work can get in the way of productivity. In the Dealing with Difficult People program, we seek to understand our responsibility to listen, adapt, and work alongside others who are very different from ourselves. We review seven distinct personalities and how we can learn to work with people different than ourselves for a more productive work environment.
Drug Awareness
The Drug Awareness program is designed to give supervisors and managers the skills they need to identify substance abuse problems in the workplace, determine the appropriate steps for an effective intervention, and practice the conversation that will take place with the individual. The materials outline the symptoms and behaviors exhibited by individuals who are affected by substances. This program can be very helpful to achieve a drug free workplace.
Financial Management (The basics of budgeting)
In today’s challenging economic climate, many employees are struggling with their finances. We have revised this program to focus on basic budgeting principles. Information about money management is reviewed including: discussing values (what is the most important to an individual), setting goals, determining income and expenses, examining spending, reviewing credit, and developing a budget. Participants are given many worksheets and tools to help assist in managing their finances.
Generational Diversity
Today, there are four generations in the workforce that are distinctly different from each other. Each generation embodies different values that can make working together difficult. In this seminar, participants learn key characteristics of each generation, examine how work behavior is affected, and apply case studies to help understand how to work with different generations.
Harassment Awareness
The harassment program can be for managers or team members. The program focuses on the importance of understanding the ramifications of harassment, sexual or otherwise in the workplace. We give participants a quiz to review their understanding of the key laws we review in the program. A very important program and necessary for all employees to understand today’s law in the area of harassment.
Living Healthy
The Living Healthy class is new for 2010. This class focuses on basic information related to weight, nutrition, exercise, and stress. Managing Stress and Burnout
Most people experience stress. It seems, though, that the current economy is causing much more than just stress; it is also causing extreme burnout. In this class, participants will discuss the “stressors” that are experienced in the workplace and the stress management concepts needed to overcome them. Participants will also discuss the signs and stages related to burnout and will learn how to cope and deal with burnout, while still being productive.

The program is based on the “FreshStart” smoking cessation program developed by the American Cancer Society. It also encourages participants to schedule an individual appointment with an EAC counselor to further assist the participant through the smoking cessation program.
